Sam walked around yet another pile of old rusted cars in Bobby’s salvage yard and froze at the sight of Jessica standing before him, beautiful as ever.

“Jess,” he whispered.

“You could have saved me,” the spirit told him sadly.

“I’m so sorry.”

“If you had told me about your family, showed me how to protect myself, I may still be alive today. We could have had a life together, Sam. Gotten married, started a family.”

Tears flowed freely down Sam’s cheeks as Jessica’s spirit moved towards him. “I tried, Jess. It was too late.”

“All you had to do was tell me the truth, Sam. You never told me the truth!” she yelled before lunging towards him. Sam swung the iron bar at the spirit and watched it disappeared.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered one last time.

I kept waiting for this to happen! I'm assuming they couldn't get the actress, other wise it makess NO sense that Jess wouldn't show up! :-P

They couldn't. Or I'm assuming they couldn't. I got the idea from someone asking Kripke if Jess would somehow return and he said they tried to get her back for an episode but FNL wouldn't let them have her :( That's when the bunny bit :P

I dont like this one. not that it badly written (its not!) but i just cant bring myself to believe that Jess would blame Sam. Even if she was made a witness she would not have gone after Sam. Dean maybe but not Sam.
Just my opinion though.
But it is well written!
