Jared smiled when the taxi pulled up to the house and he saw the lights on. Jensen was home early. Leaving the cab driver a generous tip and rushed ‘Happy Holidays!’, Jared snagged his suitcase and hurried off.
Inside, luggage forgotten at his feet and dogs bouncing excitedly around him, Jared stood still, gaze locked on Jensen who was waiting at the other end of the hall.
“Hey,” Jared greeted him, smiling brightly.
Jensen grinned back, crossing the distance between them and leaning in for a kiss they’d both desperately been waiting for. “Welcome home,” Jensen breathed against Jared’s lips.
