“What are we going to name him?” John is asking her as they both look into their baby’s round little face.

“Dean,” Mary tells him, thinking of the green-eyed hunter who left her life as mysteriously as he had entered it.

“After your mother?”

“Hmmm? Oh, yeah, after my mom.” That works too, Mary thinks.

“We can name the next one after your father,” John is telling her now.

“Next one?” she asks with a small smile.

“The next one. In a few years,” he tells her with a smile of his own.

“Dean and Sam Winchester. I like it.”
