Sarah watched as Dean Winchester headed in her direction and debated whether to walk away or not. She chose not too.

“Dean, it’s been a while,” she greeted him. “How’s Sam? I haven’t heard from him in a while.” There was a hint of bitterness in her voice.

“He’s okay. Things have been crazy for the last few years. Lots of stuff has happened.”

“I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay. Just…Forget about him. It’s for the best. Safer if you aren’t close to us. We attract danger.” He smiled sadly. “Take care, Sarah.”

“Yeah, you to,” she whispered as he walked away.

This is the sort of closure I wish they'd have time for in the series. I still really want and hope for Sam and Sarah to reunite and try a relationship together. But as the seasons have passed by that has obviously become less and less realistic. But who knows?! Maybe after Lilith has been foiled (and killed please?), and the threat of apocalypse is gone (at least in our boys' lifetimes)... maybe after all that Sarah will be available and still interested? Maybe? Not looking likely, but I won't give up hope. ; )
